Principal’s Message February 2015
Dear Parents,
Advertising is all around us; few of us can go through a day without seeing or hearing a message that will hopefully result in us doing something or purchasing a product. I believe the best form of advertising to be word of mouth. People sharing a great experience or great service they’ve received with their friends and family. I hope that as many parents start to think about school registration for next year, you will do word of mouth advertising about Meadowlark Christian School with them.
MCS is a school where the goal of staff members, the MCS Foundation, and our parent community is to provide our students an environment focused on Learning and academic success, while Living our lives in Christ, Leading in service to others and Loving with strength of character. This has been and is our ongoing commitment and resolution; these four L’s shape and guide the great relationships and culture that exists in this very special school community.
We plan to increase the amount of Kindergarten spaces available for next year and we are also going to be offering two classes in grade 7. Last year we did not have enough space to accept all the registrations for people who wanted their children in this great school. I hope that this year we will have fewer disappointments and a growing enrollment. While I wish we had unlimited room to accept new registrants in all of our grade levels, the sad reality is that at most other grade levels we are full or have very little room to add new students. A call to the Meadowlark Christian School office at 780-483-6476, will have your specific enrollment questions answered.
Our District is changing how parents of students already in an Edmonton Public school register their children for next year. Instead of the past method of students bringing home their paper “passport” where parents needed to sign and return to the school, this year registration will be online in SchoolZone. Parents can choose a school for next year on SchoolZone starting March 23 through to April 15. If you have any questions or need assistance with registration for next year, please call us at the school.
