MCS Founders Awards

The MCS Foundation honours two long-time supporters of Meadowlark Christian School with a $500 award named for each of them. Each award — The Marg MacDonald Award and The Ruby Torstensen Award — will be given to an organization supported by a student or students who give their time and talents to reflect our 4Ls mission statement: Learning, Leading, Loving, Living in the community.

Marg MacDonald and Ruby Torstensen are much loved, long-time supporters of Meadowlark Christian School. And what better way to honour a founder of a school than to recognize and encourage the efforts of students who give of their time and talents to reflect our 4Ls that form the mission statement of the school: Learning, Leading Loving and Living.

Two financial gifts of $500 each are given each year to organizations supported or identified by the awarded students.

The 2020 Founders Awards will be announced in February 2021.
