Principal’s Message January 2016
Dear Parents,
It is the beginning of a new year. One that currently holds no preconceived ideas or attachments; a clean slate. Much like the promise provided to us through Christ when we welcome Him into our life. It is an exciting time, a time of renewal.
On the school calendar, we are approaching our halfway mark, a time when we reflect to ensure that we are on course with all of our plans. We look forward to the progress reports and parent teacher conferences that are just around the corner when we can share your student’s’ progress.
In the next few months we have some special guests coming to share with our parent community. We have invited these guests to our school to share their knowledge and expertise with our school community. I would like to extend an additional invitation to you to attend these events.
- January 19, 2016 at 7:00 pm — Mr. Jon Dziadyk from Edmonton Public School Board’s Planning Department will be attending our Parent Council meeting to share suggestions for improving the safety of our drop off and pick up times
- January 27, 2016 at 7:00 pm — Rick Stiles-Oldring will be sharing a presentation entitled “Raising Children in the Digital World”
- February 22 at 7:00 pm — Margaret deBoer will be sharing some tips for supporting the literacy of our Division 1 students at the beginning of our Parent Council meeting
