Principal’s Message March 2017
Dear Parents,
What a blessing and a privilege it is to serve you as Acting Principal for the remainder of the year. I have been with Edmonton Public Schools since 2005 and have taught in almost every grade, K-9, both in the Logos Program and the Regular Program. I attend Terwillegar Community Church with my wife and four children, where we all serve in various roles in ministry.
March is here and with it comes the first day of spring, a season of new growth and new beginnings. In Romans 8:28 we read,
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
It is with that in mind that we continue our preparations for the Mission Trip to Belize. The Fiesta Fundraiser which will be held on Tuesday March 21 from 5-7:30pm in the gym. Mark it on your calendars as it will be a night filled with entertainment, various presentations and a silent auction, to support the work to be done while the group is in Belize.
The next Professional Development day will be on Friday, March 17, 2017. Parents, this blessing of professional learning is immeasurably valuable and will allow the teachers at MCS to continue to refine the skills they use to serve the students in their classrooms everyday.
In addition, progress reports will be released through SchoolZone on Thursday, March 23, 2017. If you need any help accessing the progress reports do not hesitate to contact me at the school office.
Parents, Pre-enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year opens in SchoolZone Monday, March 13 at 9am. Make sure you visit SchoolZone as part of the registration process for next year. As well, MCS Foundation registration forms will be sent home with the youngest students on March 13.
