Principal’s Message September 2013

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2013 – 2014 school year at Meadowlark Christian School. The start of a new school year is always very exciting, especially for me this year being a newcomer to this vibrant school community. Everyone I have encountered this year has been so very kind and welcoming to me and I feel truly blessed to serve the needs of the students, staff and community.

Meadowlark Christian has a talented and dedicated staff of Christian leaders who ensure that the educational needs of all our students are being met. Our mission to be a caring community committed to student excellence through Learning, Living, Leading and Loving are woven throughout the lessons and learning activities they provide. With growing enrollment numbers during the spring and summer, we are now over 300 students, a new grade 4/5 learning group needed to be created and with that a new teacher hired. Ms. Lyndi Blackwell joins our staff this year and she may be a familiar face to some as she was a student teacher here two years ago with Mrs. Pollock.

We welcome and encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s education and in school activities. Parents play a key role in their children developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful in school. One opportunity where parents can become involved is to be a part of our school council and I invite you to our first meeting on Monday, October 23 at 7 p.m.

At Meadowlark Christian, students come to school to a faith-based environment where they thrive academically and deepen their relationship with God. Your prayers for us and the work we do are greatly appreciated. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
